No Signal take over Late at Tate Britain for a night celebrating music and creativity, inspired by The 80s exhibition

Join us for a night to remember as No Signal map out a sonic atlas, era by era. We’re bringing people and communities together to connect to the power of music. Explore the impact of Black British sounds on creative and cultural spaces across time from the 80s to today.

All events are drop-in and capacity will be managed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Music: NS10v10

Room 8

A showdown between the best 10 tracks of the 1980s and hits from the last 10 years. Two sound systems, two DJs, two eras. Expect a high-energy, genre-defying clash where the past and present collide.

Music: Diaspora Dance

Three Diaspora Dance rooms showcase Black music cultures from across the world.

The Informer returns reflecting on the journey of the past four No Signal Yearbooks and explores who might have featured in an 80s edition. Explore behind-the-scenes photos and articles exploring the evolution of the project. Add your biggest creative inspo from the 80s to now to a wall of contributions.

Music and Talk: Social Club x Better Listening

A social club experience celebrating the art of vinyl. Bring and share your vinyl collections, add a track to the evening’s playlist from your own records.

Hosted by two generations of collectors: David Sonubi and Darcus Beese.

Talk: Face The Facts

The Art of Endurance

This special edition of Face The Facts explores creativity in a time of recession. Hosted by Scully with Elijah driving the conversation, panellists Kehn (Play Piem), Mercedes Benson (DJ and Social Fixt founder), Mark Miller (Tate Learning) and journalist NazfromNewham tackle pressing questions about creativity in London during a recession.

Workshop: Analogue Poster Making

Inspired by Buddy Esquire, step into the style of 80s poster making and create an event flyer for your vision of 'the best party ever' using curated materials and references from the Tate archive.

Broadcast: No Signal Radio Live

Room 7b

18.00–21.00

A live radio broadcast including shows from NOSA and Christian Adofo.

Food and Drink

Head to the drinks bar in Room 9 or the Djanogly Cafe for food and drinks.

Tate Britain's step-free entrance is on Atterbury Street. It has automatic sliding doors and there is a ramp down to the entrance with central handrails.

The Exhibition is on the Lower floor of the gallery.

  • Accessible, standard and Changing Places toilets are located on the Lower floor.
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the ticket desk on the Lower floor.
