Audio Description Tour: Turner Prize 2024

18 November 2024 at 17.00–19.00

Blind and partially sighted visitors and access companions are invited to an audio described tour of the Turner Prize exhibition

Join audio describer Sara Dibb for a tour of the 40th Turner Prize. Four artists have each submitted very different installations of sculpture, environment, sound and traditional painting. The tour will include the opportunity to touch handling objects provided by two of the contributing artists.

Chairs will be provided for those who would like them.

Headphones and receivers are available.

Arm-on-arm guiding is available.

Accessibility at Tate Britain

Tate Britain's step-free entrance is on Atterbury Street. It has automatic sliding doors and there is a ramp down to the entrance with central handrails.

There is a lift between the Lower and Main floors. Alternatively you can take the stairs.

  • Accessible and standard toilets are located on the Lower floor.
  • A Changing Places toilet is not currently available.
  • Ear defenders can be borrowed from the ticket desk on the Lower floor.
